Kineton srl, an engineering company from Campania, achieves another milestone and assumes the status of Società Benefit (in the US, Benefit Corporation), confirming its commitment to the community’s welfare.

Following the deliberation during the Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting held in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors, the notary sealed Kineton’s evolution into a Società Benefit.

“As a Società Benefit, pursuant to and for the purposes of Law no. 208 of 28 December 2015, Sole Article, paragraphs 376-384 (Stability Law 2016), the company intends to pursue the following purposes of common benefit, operating in a responsible, sustainable and transparent manner towards people, communities, territories, the environment, cultural and social assets and activities, entities and associations and other stakeholders. With this in mind, the company gives top priority to investments in research and innovation, particularly in the digital sphere, committing itself to devising and implementing initiatives and projects that can contribute to solving the social, environmental, and economic problems of our time; to this end, the company undertakes to maintain ethical and sustainable behavior in its activities. […]” reads the new statute.

A decision that formalizes a commitment that has long distinguished the Campania-based company, which has always been sensitive to fundamental issues such as respect for and protection of people in the broadest sense of the community.
