Energy Management: implementation of powertrain control algorithms for electric UAV/aircraft, using Simulink/Amesim software

To achieve increasingly green mobility, the European community promotes and supports technological development for the reduction of environmental pollution caused by the numerous aircraft that daily fly in our skies. In the aeronautical sector, the implementation of green propulsion systems-based, for example, on batteries and fuel cells, involves more complex technological challenges than in the automotive sector. Kineton offers the possibility to interface with the many challenges of this field, studying and defining innovative green propulsion architectures for small aircraft. In addition, the trainee will have the opportunity to develop and implement on-board SWs for powertrain control (e.g. via Matlab/Simulink toolchain) or scenario simulation (e.g. Amesim) that allow contributing practically to the use of these technologies.
